Scholarships Due  Feb 15
Members make big dent in Food Bank project
On January 28 Farm Bureau volunteers repackaged 907 lbs. of corn flakes and 1940 lbs. of potatoes donated to Northern Illinois Food Bank. Volunteers repackaged the food totaling 2,372 meals to be delivered through the Food Bank’s 13 county service area which feeds 71,000 people weekly. The volunteer night was organized by the Kane County Farm Bureau Young Farmers Committee.

Susie Thompson, Illinois FFA State Secretary visits KCFB
Illinois Association FFA State Secretary Susie Thompson of Maple Park attended the February meeting of the KCFB Board to report on the IL Leadership Seminar for State Officers to South Africa. KCFB Foundation was pleased to help "sponsor" Thompson's participation in the leadership development seminar. With future leaders & educators like her, the future of our industry is indeed bright!

Tractor Raffle

Winner's Choice Tractor Raffle
Tickets are now available for the 2016 Winner's Choice Tractor Raffle. Grand prize is winner’s choice of a 1953 Farmall SuperC or 1947 Farmall Super A, or a John Deere riding lawnmower or $2,500 cash.  Second prize is $500 in groceries & third prize is $500 in fuel.  Fourth prize is $250 in Farm Bureau Bucks. All proceeds benefit college scholarship and Ag literacy programs. Tickets are $10 each or 3 for $25. Order tickets by calling KCFB at 630-584-8660 or stop by our office in St. Charles. VISA & MC accepted.

4th Graders to Learn about Local Farms and Food at Ag Days
As many as 2,000 fourth grade students and their teachers will attend this agricultural themed expo in celebration of National Agriculture Week. Ag Days includes local farmers and presenters from many facets of the agriculture industry, an outdoor farm zoo and an outdoor farm equipment showcase. The 31st Annual Ag Days will be held at Mooseheart Fieldhouse near Batavia on March 15 and 16.
