Corn sculpture is a hit at Touch-A-Tractor
Hundreds enjoyed Touch-A-Tractor – a FREE public event on the front lawn of the Kane County Farm Bureau. This year’s event featured a 1913 Port Huron Steam Engine, live chainsaw carving to create a wood carving of an 8 foot tall ear of corn on the front lawn, and the announcement of the Centennial Grove tribute program. Click here for more photos and watch the Kane County Farmer for more details.
First trees planted in Centennial Grove The first trees have been purchased by KCFB members to start the Centennial Grove, a tribute program on the Farm Bureau grounds. In all, 13 trees were planted in April, four of which are still available for tributes to family, farms, or events. More trees will be ordered as requests are received.
