Summer Ag Institutes for Teachers
Teachers are invited to take part in these unique tours. SAI 1, June 10-14, tours local farms & ag businesses, sandwiched by two days of workshops. Get a wealth of knowledge, practical to turn into classroom instruction. SAI 2, June 18-21, is for SAI 1 grads & focuses on Our Hungry Planet. Learn about food needs and practices of various cultures & how farmers use technology to grow our food. Aurora University credits or CPDUs available. Call 630-584-8660 or email aitc@kanecfb.com.

Winner's Choice Raffle
In honor of Kane County Farm Bureau’s Centennial, the grand prize in the 2013 Winner’s Choice Raffle Fundraiser is a 1921 Ford Model T "Huckster" Produce Truck. The grand prize winner will choose this classic farm vehicle, a new John Deere X500 riding mower, or $5,000 cash. 2013 Foundation Scholars Honored
Area students who received Kane County Farm Bureau Scholarships for the 2013-14 school year were recognized at a ceremony at the conclusion of the Farm Bureau's 8th Annual Touch-A-Tractor event. The Foundation awarded 26 scholarships this year to students studying agriculture in colleges and universities across the country. Read more about these future ag industry leaders.
